Joseph Aboki was a student at the Federal Government College Kaduna where he excelled by graduating as the best student in his class and achieving the best result in the West African secondary school certificate examination.

Through the Opportunity Funds Program, Joseph got a full scholarship to Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) where he graduated with a Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering. He has a Masters in Chemical Engineering from University of Notre Dame and is on his way to completing his PhD in Chemical Engineering also from Notre Dame. His research interests are in Electrochemistry and Polymer Chemistry.
