Fahidat Gbadamosi is a First-generation student who graduated with a First-Class in Industrial Chemistry from the University of Ibadan. She is a recipient of various scholarships including the NNPC/TOTAL Scholarship Award 2016/2017, AbdulKabir Aliu Scholarship Award. During her time in the University, she held various leadership roles such as the Vice- President of Rotaract Club UI, Vice-Hall Chairperson Queen Elizabeth II Hall, UI, and was a member of social impact organizations such as ENACTUS, UI. She is a crusader of selfless service who has great passion for volunteering and particularly mentoring secondary school students. During her NYSC, she was selected as a participant of the 2020 Junior Achievement Nigeria (JAN) Venture-in Management Program (ViMP) at the Lagos Business School (LBS). She was also a participant of the 2020 Havard Business School (HBS) Club of the GCC Crossroads Emerging Leaders Program(CELP). Fahidat is interested in health-related chemistry particularly drug design. She wants to contribute to the development of novel therapeutics using computational techniques. She received three fully funded PhD offers from various universities which would not have been possible without the foundation set through resources and assistance offered by EducationUSA. She will proceed to the University of South Carolina, Columbia where she has been offered full funding worth more than $30,000/year for the complete duration of her program.
