Oghenefego Ahia

Oghenefego Ahia attended Brilliant Child College in Lagos, Nigeria, where he was Head Boy. He became a recipient of the EducationUSA Opportunity Fund from EducationUSA Lagos and with this help, received a full scholarship to study Computer Engineering at Tufts University, graduating magna cum laude in 2017. He was a three-term senator on the Tufts Community Union Senate and held leadership roles in Tufts-IEEE, Robotics Club and the IEEE-HKN Honor Society chapter.
Shortly after graduating from Tufts, he interned at Intel Corporation where he helped design high-end server processors. Prior to that, he spent successive summer terms working on telepresence robots for Aubot, a Melbourne, Australia startup, and dual-socket server systems for Dell-EMC in Hopkinton, MA.
He is currently a Computer Engineering Master's student at the University of Wisconsin - Madison, where his research focuses on energy-efficient FPGA design for graph analytics and artificial intelligence applications.
