Soji Adeshina
Soji, Now a Developer at Amazon
Soji Adeshina completed his secondary school education at Ansar-Ud-Deen Comprehensive High School in Okota, Lagos before gaining a scholarship to Edgewood College, Lekki for his A-Levels education. Subsequently, he received the EducationUSA Opportunity Fund from EducationUSA Lagos which assisted him in applying to and gaining admission into University of California (UC), Berkeley on a full scholarship funded by the MasterCard Foundation.
At UC Berkeley, he studied Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and was given the opportunity to intern at various corporations such as Goldman Sachs and Uber, Lagos. He also pursued research interests in artificial intelligence, systems biology and control theory. Now, Soji is a software developer at Amazon where he works on machine learning and computer vision. He is also interested in critical theory as well as philosophy and tweets and blogs frequently about those topics.
