ONYINYE UWOLLOH

Onyinye Uwolloh attended International School, University of Lagos (ISL) where she played Center on the Basketball team and was a Food Prefect. After her graduation from ISL, she joined EducationUSA and became an Intern there while preparing to study in America. Through the help of EducationUSA, Onyinye received two scholarships to study Psychology with a Minor in Biological Sciences at Northern Kentucky University (NKU)She is a sophomore (2nd year student) in the NKU Honors Program and is currently on the President’s List for having a 4.0 GPA. She also advises and guides students from all majors, both undergraduate and graduate, through the writing process as a Writing Center Consultant. In addition to seeing clients, Onyinye is currently an Embedded Consultant for an English 101 class where she and the professor work together to ensure the success of the students. Onyinye enjoys being involved on campus as the Secretary of the International Student Union. She is also an active member of the African Student Union Choir and speaks fluent Japanese. In addition, Onyinye was featured in the “Inclusive Excellence” Photo Exhibit of Northern Kentucky University for outstanding performance as an International Student. She is currently participating in research through the STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Maths) program, and she will be presenting her research on Honeysuckles at the Kentucky Academy of Science in November.
